Description

Living Room The current space was built in 1990 (planning ref:- W/99/0416). Permission was given to build a similar structure to that proposed below however the then owners did not extend to the building line. Extend the living room by 1.3m to the existing west building line. Replace the existing four hardwood doors and windows with a single double gazed (3.8 x 2.4m) three part door (ODC Poole UK) at the new boundary and enclose the new space with a pitched slate roof to match existing and a side wall 1.3m x 2.4m with front return ??? bricks to match existing - to support an rsj and in turn the new roof. Remove hardwood doors/pillars. 1st story back wall is supported by a continuous 4m lintel and no load is taken on the pillars to be removed.. Kitchen/Bathroom The kitchen extension was built with the house in ~1850 and has suffered historic subsidence of the northern wall. Kitchen - Fill-in the area bounded by the garden wall between 9 and 11 Parkfields and the building line defined by the west kitchen wall. Remove the side (north) and front (west) walls of the kitchen. Replace and extend the kitchen wall up to the boundary of number 11 to include a single 2.5m x 2.4m door (ODC Poole UK) . Bathroom - Replace the north and west walls of the bathroom with new brickwork, removing the north window overlooking 11 with a new west window which will not overlook neighbouring properties. This window to match existing sash units. Raise by 60cm the pitched roof of the back extension ??? maintain a pitched construction ??? to provide a continuous 2.4m headroom in the bathroom. The new roof and 2 new walls will greatly improve the U value of the space. New walls to the kitchen and bathroom to be thermalite blockwork faced with London stocks. The boundary wall with number 11 to be finished as currently.
