Description

T13 ??? 1 x Scots Pine Pinus sylvestris.- to fell. Height - 14.5 m DBH ??? 635 mm Spread: North ??? 2 meters West ??? 7 meter South ??? 7 meters East- 2 meters The tree is located in the grass area to the right of the access path leading to the main entrance. The psychology is good with a good amount of foliage throughout the tree. The tree shows historical phototropic growth with leaning towards the property on the west and south with all branch growth in this direction. This would indicate growing with completion with large trees to the north. Evidence of street trees which has been removed and a newly planted Lime in its place and an existing street tree, Oak Quercus which has been lopped and topped at 8 meters. There are wounds on the main stem; Wound 1 on the south side at 0.5 meter Wound 2 on the west side at 1 meter Wound 3 on the South west side. Elongated with server resin bleeding. With reactionary growth on either side. Wound 4 ??? A large open wound (Due to historical poor branch removal) located at 5 meters. The wound has a width of 400mm and a height of 580mm. The diameter of the wound 540mm with a depth of the cavity at the same point 400mm. Wound 5- elongated open wound to the south side at 6.2 meters. Width of wound is 170mm and height of 800mm. There is reactionary wood around the wound. Both visual and actual evidence of animal activity. Whilst carrying out the inspection 3 squirrels vacated from the lowest hole on wound 4 and from the hole in wound 5 indicating that the whole section is hollow. Wound 6- There are 5 branches historically removed with good reactive growth. Due to the tree being hollow with loss of live, active wood on the compression side, where the conifers would support themselves. There is a large amount of growth, weight on the same side causing leaning. This is a high target area with high foot fall with a risks of injury to persons as well as damage to the property, therefore we recommend the felling of the tree, stump remova
