119 Godley Road SW18 3HA
Description
There is a Sycamore tree sitting at the boundary in the front garden of 121 Godley Road. This tree's roots have spread and there are cracks on the pavement outside my property. Repairing the pavement does not solve the issue as this tree is only half grown (as confirmed by a structural engineer). The roots are growing and will only cause further damage if left. Sycamore tree's roots spread at least as far as their branches. The branches of this tree spread well over the outside walls of my property. I can therefore assume that the roots are already under my property, and while the early signs damage cannot be seen by the naked eye due to the building covering the floor I can assume that, given the branch span and the crack running right up to the outside wall, damage to my property may have already started. The subsidence risk is innevitible. Therefore this tree needs to be removed - and I would like permission to do so. The boundary attached shows my property highlighted in pink and the tree marked by an X.
