Description

T1 Pear - This is a large old pear tree that is in a state of decline. There is large amounts of deadwood throughout the crown and a large cavity in the main stem. The ground has also been dug out directly under the stump of the tree (presumable by an animal). As the tree is in decline and likely to fail in the near future we would recommend that this tree is removed as close to ground level as possible. Proposed work: Fell Pear in decline near to ground level. T2 Oak - This is a large dominant tree within the surrounding gardens. It has previously been cut back very hard near to the boundary line of the properties. There are no obvious signs of basal decay and the tree appears to be in good condition. It is however very large for its location. As the tree seems to be in good health it seems excessive to apply to remove this tree completely. We would however recommend that an intermediate solution be applied to maintain the tree within its surroundings and address some of the neighbours concerns. This would be to crown reduce the entire tree by up to 2.5m in height and lateral spread and remove all the remaining overhang to the garden on number 51. Proposed work: To crown reduce large Oak in the rear garden by up to 3m in height and lateral spread leaving a finished height of 16.5m and residual radius of 6.5m (current height 19.5m and radius of 9.5m offset to the north) and remove limbs over the garden of number 51 down to previous pruning points to remove all overhang to the garden.
